Have Your Say

Welcome to Earls Barton & Penvale Park Medical Centre

With patients' needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need. As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations.

COVID Vaccination Update

In line with the Government’s announcement, the NHS is aiming to offer every adult the chance to book a Covid-19 booster vaccine by the end of the year. This means our practice is now prioritising the booster rollout.

As part of this, some of our routine services may be stood down temporarily to allow us to focus on protecting as many patients as possible.

We are still there for anyone who may need care for an urgent need, but would ask for patience as we support this key national priority over the coming weeks. We hope to be able to stand back up any services as soon as possible and will update this page as soon as we know more.

Please don’t forget there are many services available for you, depending on your condition. These include:

  • Self-care – This is the best choice to treat minor illnesses and injuries such as hangovers, coughs, colds, grazes, small cuts or sore throats. Many of these can be treated at home, simply with over-the-counter medicines and plenty of rest.
  • Pharmacy – Pharmacists can give advice on and treat a range of symptoms. They can support you with things such as diarrhoea, earaches, painful coughs, sticky eyes, teething and rashes.
  • NHS 111 – You can access 111 online or via the telephone. This is for any urgent but non-life threatening health concerns. They will be able to signpost you to the relevant service and provide advice where appropriate, or book you in to an Urgent Treatment Centre.
  • A&E / 999 – You should only attend A&E or dial 999 in a life-threatening emergency such as severe bleeding, breathing difficulties and severe chest pain.

If you are now eligible for your Covid-19 booster please book it as soon as you can. It is vital as many people as possible get boosted as soon as possible.

How and when to get your COVID-19 booster vaccine

You'll be offered a booster dose at least 6 months after you had your 2nd dose.

The NHS will let you know when it's your turn to have a booster dose. It's important not to contact the NHS for one before then.

Most people will be invited to book an appointment at a larger vaccination centre, pharmacy, or local NHS service such as a GP surgery.

Thank you for your Co-operation

Seasonal Influenza Update

We Sorry to inform you that our Flu Jab delivery has been delayed. We are now due a delivery of our flu jabs around the 22nd October 2021. We will send you an invitation as soon as we receive the vaccines.

Thank you for your co-operation

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR PATIENTS REGISTERED WITH EARLS BARTON & PENVALE PARK MEDICAL CENTRE

Following a visit by the Care Quality Commission, which highlighted a number of significant concerns, the CQC has taken the decision to cancel the practice’s registration as of 9th July 2021. NHS Northamptonshire CCG has therefore taken the decision to appoint a caretaker provider to minimise disruption to patient care. Albany House Medical Centre has been appointed as the caretaker and they will work to ensure patients receive the high standard of care expected from the NHS. The previous management and Partners are no longer with the surgery.

The surgery will remain open as usual and continue to provide services to you, you will still have access to a GP and other clinical staff there.

If you have any queries, please contact the NHS Northamptonshire CCG Patient Experience team by emailing nccg.patientexperience@nhs.net or by telephoning 01604 651100 (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm)
